Terry Deeds - Navigating Probate Home Challenges

I first met Terry as he was in the middle of packing up and moving across the country. Earlier that year, his mother had passed away in the home he grew up in, leaving behind a long to-do list—removing old carpets to expose original hardwoods, deep cleaning, moving out a tenant, and much more.
After weeks of hard work, just as we thought we were in the clear, unexpected challenges kept coming. Inspections revealed an old oil tank buried in the yard that needed to be decommissioned, and structural issues near the fireplace required significant repairs. The chimney had to be removed, a corner of the house needed to be raised and leveled, and new footings had to be installed—all before we could even think about closing the sale. This project was another instance of navigating probate home challenges, which I love, and which seem to pop up on every job!
Despite the obstacles, we got everything done, and in the end, the home sold for top dollar. Helping Terry navigate this complex process was an honor, and it’s exactly why I do what I do—to take the burden off families during challenging transitions and ensure they get the best possible outcome.
